We are happy to announce that Rard Rijcken is our new investor and advisor at Zero Friction. Rard brings additional expertise of the national and international heating market with his previous positions at Eteck and Vattenfall.
Wim Jacobs met Rard about 3 years ago at a heat event: “I always appreciated his knowledge and enthusiasm. After he stopped his operational activities at Eteck, we picked up the conversations. It was very clear that we share the same vision on the future needs for the district heating and cooling market. It is great to have Rard on board as he brings positive energy and drive to support the company’s ambitions.”
Rard Rijcken: “The supply of sustainable heating and cooling via district heating systems is at the start of a significant growth in Europe and will allow for a large reduction of CO2 emissions in the building and energy markets. Zero Friction’s services enable all existing and new suppliers to ensure that its customers can provide the best in class services to its end users while creating full transparency on costs and sustainability targets. This will result in lower tariffs and hence more support to the transition in the heating market. It is the drive of the team that triggered my attention. The continuous push for a more complete and affordable SAAS product over the last 3 years has resulted in a solid base for the coming expansion in Belgium, The Netherlands, The Scandics and North West Europe as a whole. I look forward to help the team to walk this path and seek ways to help the market in their ambitions to continuous lowering CO2 emissions.”
